I had always use Hard as Nails Construction Adhesive. I thought that all brands were basically the same. One time - on a whim - I bought Loctite PL 375 instead. It was SOOO much better! I have used it to mend together and attach concrete board supports to the bottoms of 150-year-old hand-poured concrete pavers, to attach a garden hose "gasket" to a wooden frame on a compost bin, and to attach vinyl wall board to to a stucco wall. Despite the wide variety of surfaces, and the severity of application, all are holding strong! I'm never going back to Hard as Nails!
